With resolution 35/2016 of October 28, 2016, the Brescia Provincial Council resolved to entrust the Integrated Water Service (consisting of the set of public services of captation, adduction and distribution of water for civil uses, sewerage and wastewater treatment) to the company Acque Bresciane S.r.l., a company with total public capital, which has every subjective and objective prerequisite to ensure full compliance with the so-called "in house providing" model.
On October 14, 2019, an agreement for the management of the integrated water service in the optimal territorial sphere of the Province of Brescia was stipulated between the Ambit Office of the Province of Brescia and Acque Bresciane S.r.l..
At present, Acque Bresciane S.r.l. manages the aqueduct, sewerage and purification services in 94 municipalities in the Province of Brescia, with a catchment area of approximately 560,000 inhabitants.
Acque Bresciane S.r.l. applies the provisions of Legislative Decree no. 33/2013 and amended by Legislative Decree no. 97/2016 on the subject of publicity and transparency obligations by Companies with full public capital
