In order to promote and enhance its ethical commitment, Brescian Waters has requested the recognition of its legality rating. This tool (art. 5-ter of Legislative Decree no. 1 of 24 January 2012 and subsequent AGCM resolution no. 27165 of 15 May 2018) was introduced for Italian companies, aimed at promoting and introducing principles of ethical conduct within the company, through the awarding of a "recognition" - measured in "stars" - indicative of compliance with legality by companies that have requested it and, more generally, of the degree of attention paid to the proper management of their business. The legality rating is assigned by the Antitrust Authority AGCM.
This recognition takes the form of a score between a minimum of one and a maximum of three "stars". The applicant company is awarded the basic ★ score if it meets all the requirements of Article 2 of the Implementing Regulation on Legality Rating. The basic score may be increased by one "+" for each additional requirement that the enterprise meets among those set out in Article 3 of the Regulation. The achievement of three '+' will result in the award of an additional star, up to a maximum score of ★★★.
Below is the score obtained by Acque Bresciane:
A voluntary process (solicited), which can be accessed only by companies that produce a Sustainability Report drawn up in accordance with GRI international standards. The Sustainability Rating, or ESG Rating, briefly measures the company's ability to manage environmental issues, such as carbon dioxide emissions and attention to natural capital, social issues such as welfare and respect for diversity among employees, governance issues, such as ethics and transparency, and finally the distribution of the economic value generated.
The rating obtained by Acque Bresciane places it in the top bracket - share at 69.6 and refers to the data published in the 2019 Sustainability Report. The comparison took into account a sample of over 30 of the best international Water Utilities (American, British, Italian...) and places Acque Bresciane, in a three-year improvement path, already among the top 30% of BBB class or higher.
