If there is a water loss in your private network, you must promptly arrange for the repair of the system. By documenting the loss of the internal system and the repair that has taken place, you can access a reduction in water consumption, as provided for in article 1.20 of the AATO Regulation of the Integrated Water Service.

How to submit the reduction request?
You can request the verification of the correct functioning of the installed meter. Damaged or outdated meters are replaced free of charge. If the damage is caused by improper storage of the meter, the cost will be applied to the bill.
If the meter verification detects measurement errors within the range of -5% to +5% deviation from the reference meter, the meter is considered to be functioning correctly.
If the verification determines that the meter is functioning correctly, the corresponding fee provided by the ARERA regulation, amounting to €45 plus VAT, will be charged in the first relevant bill. If a verification through a certified laboratory is deemed necessary or requested, the cost of the verification itself will be charged.
