During the winter, it's a good idea to take certain necessary measures to prevent freezing temperatures from damaging your water meter and other appliances.
Protecting your meter is required by Article 2.22 of the Integrated Water Service Regulations, adopted by the Consortium of the Province of Brescia, to which our company belongs.

In particularly cold weather, you can protect your meter with specific insulating materials, such as polystyrene and expanded polyurethane, leaving the dial with the readings visible.

If your meter is frozen, you must heat the outside (meter and pipes) using a jet of hot air (e.g., a hair dryer) or, if necessary, hot water. Never use open flames to defrost.
