Universities and research play a fundamental role in qualifying the development of research projects aimed at innovating processes and systems.
We have signed a five-year framework agreement with the Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture, Land, Environment and Mathematics (DICATAM) of the University of Brescia to structure and strengthen our relationship. This is achieved through a management committee that meets periodically, with the aim of fostering close synergy on matters related to water resources.
Over the years, several collaborations have also been initiated, in particular with:
University of Brescia for the following projects:
- technological and process optimization in wastewater and sludge treatment, aimed at reducing environmental footprint and addressing climate change
- models for the sustainable ecological transition of the integrated water system
- support for the project ClimADA – Climate and Environmental Reconstruction of the Adamello area and the Central Alps
- activation of advanced training courses in Sustainability in the water sector with SMAE – School of Management and Advanced Education
- “Water Integrated Assessment, Management & Support” for municipalities in the Province of Brescia, with a focus on water footprint calculation
- hydraulic invariance and modeling of urban drainage systems through co-financing from PNRR funds
University of Milan:
- IDROGEO LAKE – hydrogeophysical characterization and mathematical modeling of groundwater flow for efficient and sustainable management of groundwater resources intended for human consumption
Politecnico di Milano:
- reuse of treated wastewater (EU Regulation 741/2020) and optimization and upgrading of treatment schemes based on the source of supply and type of contaminants
University of Milan-Bicocca:
- impact of climate change on groundwater to support mid- and long-term planning and management of water resources
