A voluntary (solicited) path, which can be accessed only by companies that produce a Sustainability Report prepared according to GRI international standards. The Sustainability Rating, or ESG Rating, succinctly measures a company's ability to manage environmental issues such as carbon emissions and attention to natural capital, social issues such as welfare and respect for diversity among employees, governance issues such as ethics and transparency, and finally the distribution of the economic value generated.

In 2024, we obtained an AA rating for the third consecutive year with a score of 76.8 out of 100, up from 76.1 in 2023. This result places us among the best companies in the water services sector and demonstrates our high level of ESG management.

In terms of environmental issues, we obtained a positive rating, higher than the reference cluster.

In the social sphere, by adhering to the Utilitalia Covenant and the Sodalitas Foundation's Charter for Equal Opportunity and Equality, the company has committed to adopting policies aimed at reducing gender inequality and promoting ever greater inclusion.

As far as governance is concerned, high transparency, integration of strategic sustainability objectives in the business plan and remuneration policies related to ESG targets are confirmed.

Among other things, there were a number of factors in 2024 that contributed to improving the company's performance in terms of environmental, economic, and innovation results. For example, the definition of a five-year Innovation Plan 2025-2029 with projects for cybersecurity, better data management, the use of AI for customer support, and the activation of a Sustainability Linked Loan signed with a pool of banks that sets targets for reducing water losses and greenhouse gas emissions.

The rating was given by the Cerved Rating Agency, among the most authoritative in the industry and a leader in Europe in terms of the number of non-financial corporate credit ratings assigned.
