Rating

Legality rating

In order to promote and enhance its ethical commitment, Acque Bresciane has requested the recognition of the legality rating. This tool (art. 5-ter d.l. 24 January 2012, no. 1 and subsequent AGCM resolution of 15 May 2018, no. 27165) was introduced for Italian companies, aimed at promoting and introducing principles of ethical behaviour in the company, through the assignment of a "recognition" - measured in "stars" - indicative of the respect for legality by the companies that have requested it and, more generally, the degree of attention to the proper management of their business.  The legality rating is assigned by the Competition and Market Authority (AGCM).

This recognition takes the form of a score between a minimum of one and a maximum of three 'stars'. The applicant company obtains the basic score ★, if it meets all the requirements of Article 2 of the Regulation implementing the Legality Rating. The basic score can be increased by one "+" for each additional requirement that the company meets among those provided for in Article 3 of the Regulation. The achievement of three "+" leads to the attribution of an additional star, up to a maximum score of ★★★★.

Sustainability rating

A voluntary (solicited) process, which can only be accessed by companies that produce a Sustainability Report drawn up in accordance with GRI international standards. The Sustainability Rating, or ESG Rating, is a summary measure of the company's ability to manage environmental issues, such as carbon dioxide emissions and attention to natural capital, social issues such as welfare and respect for diversity among employees, governance issues such as ethics and transparency, and finally the distribution of the economic value generated.

The rating obtained by Acque Bresciane places it in the top bracket - 69.6 and refers to the data published in the 2019 Sustainability Report. The comparison took into consideration a sample of more than 30 of the best international Water Utilities (American, British, Italian...) and places Acque Bresciane, on a three-year improvement path, already among the top 30% in the BBB class or higher.

This path has led Acque Bresciane to achieve, with reference to the 2019 Sustainability Report, a BBB rating (on a scale from AAA to D), assigned by the specialist company Cerved Rating Agency, one of the most authoritative in the sector.
