LeAcque was created through the collaboration of Acque Bresciane, AqA (Tea Group), and Padania Acque, three public utilities in eastern Lombardy, to develop a new model of industrial cooperation.
It is not a merger, but a strategic project: pooling expertise, infrastructure, and know-how to turn complex challenges into shared opportunities.

With 705 professionals, LeAcque serves a population of approximately 1.5 million people, manages over 16,000 km of water supply and sewer networks, and generates total revenues of €221 million.

The new Network is already focused on the future, aiming to build sustainable leadership in the Lombardy water sector.

MISSION

To create strategic alignment in order to address sector challenges collectively, through cooperation that strengthens operational capacity while preserving the legal autonomy of each company. Thanks to geographic proximity and interconnected water infrastructure, the network enables the development of industrial synergies, economies of scale, and increased investment capacity.

ORGANIZATION

The Network’s governance, designed to be streamlined yet representative, includes the Network Assembly (composed of Presidents or CEOs), the Management Board (General Managers or CEOs), and the Board Delegate.

Massimiliano Ghizzi, President of AqA, chairs the Network Assembly, while Stefano Ottolini, General Manager of Padania Acque, serves as Board Delegate.

LeAcque develops concrete projects in the following areas:

  • Information Technology: integrated digital systems, data management, cybersecurity
  • Laboratories: water quality and the creation of organizational units capable of responding in a coordinated way to monitoring needs and to the requirements of Legislative Decree 18/2023
  • Water Safety Plan: prevention, monitoring, and control of water-related risks
  • Human Resources: skills development, shared training, and innovative tools
  • Water BIM: integrated infrastructure design and digital lifecycle management of assets
  • Communication: promoting the value of the network and its impact on local communities
